      Building in the atmosphere,

     Billowing upwards

     A world of distant splendor -

  

    Leading us to wonder.                                            East Branch Delaware River, Hancock, NY     

Gathering,

Lighting, walking,                     

Lines drawn in time 

Each one experiments                               

     Communal and separate -
                                         

    Gathering rhythms

    Circling worlds.

Moon rising -

over low hills and a wide mowed field

Wild streams like calligraphy                                        
rise from the earth
electric, exciting
the moon stays steady
mingling with shooting stars
in ever changing compositions -

 

                                                      all Hail to the red white and blue
